Rupa - Painted Presence I 3D Makeup Palette Ad (Blender / Cycles)

Rupa - Painted Presence is a 3D makeup palette concept and advertisement exploring the idea of presence through ornament, color, and material. The lid artwork draws inspiration from Javanese wayang aesthetics, paired with a bold eyeshadow color story influenced by vivid natural and organic contrasts.

The palette features a mid-poly production-ready design including a functional hinge mechanism and magnetic closure system for stability. Materials range from matte powders to shimmer, glitter, and duochrome finishes, all housed in a cool gray metal casing framed by striking red ornamentation.

The makeup palette was modeled in Blender, textured using a combination of procedural shaders in Blender and handpainted textures in Substance Painter, and rendered in Cycles. The concept art was developed in Photoshop.

Final editing and color grading were completed in DaVinci Resolve, with Fusion used to reconstruct the beauty pass. Audio editing and timing were also handled in Resolve.
